Recently quite a few new things have been revealed/leaked.

AGE OF THE PRIMES:

Some Age of the Primes Box Art has been revealed, detailing the figures
for wave one.

https://news.tfw2005.com/2024/12/05/age-of-the-primes-wave-1-boxart-527548

Slingshot looks alright, though his wings are missing from his box
art... Hmmm.

Silverbolt's Fins are attached to his arms, which is going to look
weird.

Air Raid also looks good, noticing that the Aerialbots also get two guns
like the Stunticons did.

Prima is plain looking, hopefully he'll look better in full.

Solus Prime looks good.

Armada Red Alert looks pretty neat.

Animated Wasp looks good.

G2 Grimlock will obviously be excellent.

And Titan Star Convoy is....

TITAN STAR CONVOY

https://news.tfw2005.com/2024/12/05/age-of-the-primes-titan-star-convoy-first-look-527534

Star Convoy is not a version of Optimus Prime I care very much about,
but the design is SICK. and the figure, which was seen just today, also
looks good.

He will apparently be cheaper than the other Titans, which is great.

SUPERION

AotP Superion was also seen.

https://news.tfw2005.com/2024/12/05/age-of-the-primes-superion-first-look-527538

And people are already mad that he follows the same style of combination
that Menasor does.

I don't think it's fair to judge the figure based on a single blurry
screengrab (Gotta be sure to take a picture OF your screen) but
Silverbolt's jet mode does look small.

COLLABORATIVE

The next collaborative figure has been leaked, and will be officially
revealed tomorrow.

https://news.tfw2005.com/2024/12/05/sonic-collab-first-look-527560

And it's Sonic the Hedgehog! oh and Tails is there too...

They look pretty great, espacially Tails, I've always thought there
should be more Biplane Transformers, and They've pulled it off here.

Sonic is pretty much just a normal carformer with Sonic's head, and the
car mode looks pretty squished.

There will probably be more news very soon. So don't touch that dial!

Slingshot looks alright, though his wings are missing from his box
art... Hmmm.
So, in the cartoon, Slingshot's wings sort of fold up into this weird
assembly that just hangs off his back like he's wearing a tailcoat.
Assuming that these new Aerialbots are an attempt to create as much
fidelity to the cartoon designs as possible, it's likely his
transformation does something similar.

Silverbolt's Fins are attached to his arms, which is going to look

Are you talking about the wings on the fronts of his shoulders? That's
part of his cartoon design. Those wings need to be there. (They may be
there just for looks, and might not factor into the jet mode at all.)
Post by Swivelbot

I don't hate it. Two guns are better than one. They're twice the fun.
Ask anyone!

Prima is plain looking, hopefully he'll look better in full.
What I like about Prima is that he actually uses the cartoon head design
for the "Powerful Robot" seen in "Five Faces of Darkness" part 4:

I did not think that when I did model sheets for these guys and put them
online that they could, potentially, one day serve as reference models
for Hasbro to design toys. But here we are. (I'm not saying for sure
that they did. But they're online, so...)

G2 Grimlock will obviously be excellent.
I read somewhere, just today, that G2 Slag and G2 Snarl are going to be
sold together in some kind of a two-pack. (I wouldn't hate getting
Sludge and Swoop in their planned-but-cancelled G2 colors as well. It
just doesn't feel right not to have the whole team.)
Post by Swivelbot
And people are already mad that he follows the same style of
combination that Menasor does.
So here's the deal with Superion. If you look at his cartoon design,
both of his legs are one hundred percent identical to each other.
There's no way to achieve that with just Aerialbots, unless you bought
two Skydives and painted one of them. So, they kind of had to employ
SOME kind of cheatsy transformation in order to accomplish this.

What ends up being weird, though, is that Silverbolt gets... I don't
know, a drum set? Whatever that thing is that the extra Superion parts
transform into? We kind of knew that Silverbolt alone wasn't going to
have the bulk required for a proper Superion body. Even the G1 version
was awfully spindly and leggy. He's got L'Eggs and he knows how to use
them. Sheer energy L'Eggs.

There is another much less blurry screengrab out there.

Superion looks great. He's big and bulky, as he should be. No chicken
legs this time, like we got with the G1 toy. He's got the right chest
armor, with that weird U-shaped thingy on his chest. He's got his
gun-arm! So much attention to detail. Leaps and bounds better than the
Combiner Wars version.

With regards to Silverbolt's jet mode, I think what we're seeing is
perhaps the regular jet transformation that's docked at some sort of
fuel station or mini-airport. It's clear that assembly is detachable,
so the jet without being docked at the Leftover Parts Station probably
looks a lot better.

I really don't hate what we're seeing so far. It shows a lot of
promise. I know that people are already complaining, but at this point
I've just come to expect that. Haters gotta hate. Somebody on Reddit
said something about how nobody hates Star Wars like the Star Wars fans
do, and I'm beginning to think that's true of our fandom as well.
Nobody hates Transformers like Transformers fans.

I just hope they don't do something boneheaded and ruin one of the
Aerialbots, like making Skydive just a Fireflight toy with a different
head because they ran out of money. I mean, I don't necessarily *think*
they would do that, but they kind of have this habit of starting strong
and then finishing weak (SEE: Legacy Bombshell; SEE ALSO: Evolution
Breakdown).

I'm not going to judge anything based on box art, unless it is a very
simple redeco, and even then...

I'm glad we are finally getting this character.

I hate that I want this.

I think he comes with a small Hot Rod, like the original, unless they
just put core class Hot Rod next to him in a photo.

Not bad looking. We will see if I have space for him in my life. He's
not as exciting as G2 Grimlock, despite being an entirely new mold.

I would be upset if they follow the same style and don't allow swapping
of limbs between them. And any Technobots or Combaticons that come
along. I'm disappointed that you can't mix up arms and legs on Menasaur.

The play pattern was always better than the results in the various
combiners, and I would want them to keep it as much as possible.

Wait, I just thought of something... can you swap the halves of
Dragstrip and Dead End?

Tails looks really good, but I wonder why they didn't make the biplane
yellow-orange? The way that the tail of the plane splits in half and
hangs off the butt or waist would have been a nice little reference to
the actual character if it was colored right.

The paint deco on this version of Wheelie is straight from the "Wild Boy
of Quintesson" storybook. I LOVE THIS. What a deep cut.

No, that's a new Micromaster Hot Rod.

Well, we got that ten years ago during Combiner Wars. Also, it's
absolutely insane that Combiner Wars was ten years ago. It sure doesn't
feel like ten years. But, anyway.

This time Hasbro is trying to create more fidelity to the cartoon, and
in the show, they didn't play mix-and-match with combiner arms and legs
like you could do with the toys.

My expectation is that you *might* be able to sort of force-fit a
Stunticon arm into one of the Aerialbot arm slots, but it won't be
designed for it, and if you can get it to work, it will be a happy
accident rather than a deliberate design intention.

It will be interesting to see what approach they take with the
Protectobots or Technobots or Terrorcons if they get that far with this
idea. Swindle got a retail listing already, and we've seen Age of the
Primes artwork for Vortex, so I think we can reasonably conclude that
the Combaticons are already on their way.

The way Superion is designed, he really does have big, boxy legs with
little jets glued to the back. So, it kind of made sense to give him
another Menasor-style skeleton. And at this point they've kind of
locked themselves into the idea, because after getting these big, beefy
versions of Superion and Menasor, nobody is going to want scrawny
versions of Defensor and Bruticus.

..Geez, they're going to make us buy the Combaticons in G2 colors
again, aren't they?

Yep. Not my picture, but you get the idea:
